We came to know about Financial Analysts as a Career option from Elizabeth Perez who works as a financial analysts in Siemens Ltd.
According to her the job of a financial analysts is to make sure that the company's finances are under control. In other words the job of a financial analysts is to see that the company is not spending more money that what it budgeted for and also to make sure that all the resources like people ,machinery etc are being used to the best of their ability .

She decided to pursue this career because she could combine her love for numbers along with her passion for business. During high school she took a lot of business related courses for eg typing, excel, database management etc
According to her entry level positions are highly competitive. A bachelor's degree in with mathematics as one subject is acceptable, so long as the potential analyst's course of study demonstrates an ability to understand and work with numbers. Additionally a degree in business administration ,accounting ,finance, or statistics benefits a lot in getting a job in finance organisations.
Candidates must be able to meet and interact with client's ,handle heavy work load, prioritize and complete work under strict deadlines, work as part of a team, and work with computer spreadsheet and valuation programs.
Financial analyst have ample job opportunities with insurance companies ,banks, securities firms, pension and mutual funds etc. Additionally they can do accounts and prepare financial statements do auditing or assess taxes. Secretarial work in companies ,account management and share valuation etc are some works for financial analysts.
Payoff
The determination of salary of financial analyst is done on basis of skills and knowledge the professional possess. Any fresher financial analyst can earn any salary in the range of Rs 15000- Rs 40000 per month. After five or more years of work experience there is 4 to 5 times growth in the salary package of financial analyst.
